Highlands Falls Country Club

Small-town charm meets upscale luxury in the Highlands, and nowhere is a better example than the Highlands Falls Country Club.

Welcome to Highlands Falls Country Club

When it comes to Highlands, our communities are what differentiated this town from any other small-town nationwide. Nowhere is a better example than the Highlands Falls Country Club. Complete with a recently-renovated golf course, an upgraded clubhouse, and an upscale dining room run by a top-notch chef, you can experience all of the best things in life against the backdrop of the breathtaking Appalachian Mountains.

Highlands Falls offers 284 memberships, including 187 golf members and 97 other members. Built to be an escape from the Summer heat, this seasonal club runs from May 1st - Nov 1st. You must be a member to access the amenities Highlands Falls has to offer, however you do NOT have to be a member to buy in the community.

The star of Highlands Falls Country Club is the 18-hole golf course designed by Joe Lee and renovated by Bill Bergin. The 6,300 yard course has rolling elevations, beautiful fairways, and 100-ft waterfall roaring just behind the 15th hole putting green. Winding throughout the community, with picturesque greens flanking the guard-gated entrance, the course is essentially art carved into the mountains. Beginners can enjoy increasing their skills, but there are still enough obstacles to challenge even the best players.

Those who don’t want to spend a day on the course can take advantage of the three tennis courts, four pickleball courts, and the spacious heated pool. The fitness club not only has group classes and the best workout equipment available, but it’s also lined with windows so that those working to stay healthy can do so with a gorgeous view. Just outside of the clubhouse, you will find some of the best Croquet facilities in the country. Two official sized lawns, as well as an oversized pavilion which co-hosted the United States Croquet Association [along with High Hampton,The Chattooga Club, and the Country Club of Sapphire Valley] in 2022.

A variety of ponds dot the landscape where members can fish for trout, watch birds, and on Mondays, sail their miniature yacht. Families will appreciate the on-site summer camp that keeps kids occupied with activities like Ninja Gym, golf lessons, and ziplining.

Chef Shawn Olah joined the Highlands Falls team in 2021 and is bringing major changes to the dining room. In 2024, Shawn was awarded Club and Resort Chef  40 under 40 Honoree. As a fine-dining veteran, he brings a special skill with cuisine to the kitchen and his passion for food and flavors is apparent in the dishes he prepares. The dining room itself has been redesigned to maximize service while providing enhanced views through the windows for an all-encompassing experience.

Off the grounds, there are numerous places to go for a quick excursion. Sports fans will love being able to attend games at Clemson University, just an hour away, or driving less than two hours for a day of shopping in beautiful Asheville. Additionally, in the immediate area is any number of activities, from paddleboarding and kayaking to birdwatching and rock climbing. A great option for the full outdoor experience is Highlands Outpost. From ziplining and the mountain coaster in the Summers, to tubing in the Winter, Highlands Outpost has great opportunities for all ages. For rainy days, check out one of the numerous museums in the area to learn more about local history. The Bascom Art Gallery is a local favorite, featuring fascinating exhibits and offering exciting classes.

Highlands Falls Country Club members reside in stunning, spacious homes and luxury condos peeking through the trees. A variety of styles line the roads, from ranches with gorgeous stone fireplaces to equestrian-inspired farmhouse styles, even expansive contemporary mansions overlooking the mountains.  Whether you’re seeking a secluded hideaway with a lot of land or a place to entertain, you can find it in the Highlands Falls Country Club.
